My Morning Wooten

Just when my heart filled to the brim with hate for Democrats, here comes Wooten.
Is Hillary married? Just asking.
Are you kidding me? Are you effing kidding me? Why not just roll out the old lesbian canard.

This, friends and neighbors, is the high level of political discourse distributed by the largest selling newspaper in the southeast.

You know what? I'm no longer going to defend the south against inane criticism from the rest of the country. We get what we deserve.

It's getting to where I'm no longer seeing Wooten as a blithering ditto-box, but more of a craftsman of some of the most immediately effective trollery ever. Either that, or he knows in his heart of hearts that he has become a caricature of himself. Wooten the pundit would therefore be Wooten the performance artist.

(Frankly, his Woot-offs remind me most of Kelly, the "right-wing" editorial cartoonist for the Onion.)

Oh, come on, GD. That was the lead, fer cryin' out loud! I love MMW as much as anyone who reads you, but today's is a clunker.

I thought you would have been more shocked by this one:
"It’s true that unmarried women are drawn to the Democratic Party. For many, government is the supporting husband — if not directly, then in providing the back-up financial security that marriage once represented."

Address the explicit sexism/gender bias in THAT one, please. Or do I have to summon Amber?

PS: Glad you're back.

Fuck you, mtheory.

Sorry, Amber, I didn’t mean YOU. I was thinking of the other Amber, the one who writes about feminism and women’s issues on her blog, who wants those issues taken seriously, and who might have taken an interest in what appeared to be a sexist comment. I was referring to THAT Amber. Have you seen her anywhere?

Seriously? You're gonna compound it further? Ugh.

Everyone needs a vacation. I decree it.
