An Odd Silence

Screams of "PRIMARY" ring across the land when poor Saxby Chambliss votes for a single farm subsidy. Yet, when a fellow Georgia Republican congressman does this:
They called on the sergeant at arms to investigate whether, as Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) put it, a group that "is connected to or supports terrorists [and] is running influence operations or planting spies in key national security-related offices."
Nary a word is heard.

An odd silence indeed.

Are you, or have you ever been, a Muslim terrorist?

The people who wanted Saxby primaried are the people who want to cannonize Paul Broun.

I feel no need to call for a primary challenger for a dude who can't get sworn in.

Bumbling Americans. Yawn. A far better fictionalized version of committee member office infiltration is the 2003 UK version of State of Play. (Do NOT bother with the 2008 Americanized version with Russell Crow. It's awful.)

i believe ther actually is an announced primary challenge to broun, such as it is, and the last time he was primaried didn't work out all that well anyhow...
