Oh FFS. I'm not changing it and I'm going to say something that's been rolling around my head for a long time. I used to hate when people wouldn't call me by my name. I'm not Jim or Jamie or Jimmy (although I've come to accept that one), I'm James. I consider it rude to not call people by the name they want. For that reason I've always done my best to get the Democrat / Democratic thing right. I do it because I was taught to be polite.
But let me say this as plainly as I can. Maybe, just maybe, people will start taking Democrats seriously again when they start taking some principled stands, win some elections and don't get so incredibly bunched up every time someone has a slip of the toungue about their name.
I'm not changing it. If that makes me a right wing hack so be it.
Aw, Grift, I don't think you are a right-wing hack, but that Democrat/Democratic thing just sends shivers up my spine every time I read it or hear it - like nails on a chalkboard. And I agree with you about Democrats taking principled stands and winning elections. :)

Please, Grift, it's the Democratic debate. Don't let yourself be infected with Luntzspeak!
