This has left me nearly speechless.
Is it really pro-life? Is it really art?
I'm not even sure how to describe it. Britney is in what some would describe politely as a very natural position for certain activities but a most certain unnatural position for giving birth.
Whatever your opinion, it's guaranteed to cause a reaction. Which is of course exactly what the artist intended.

I don't know much about art, but I know what I think is utterly ridiculous. Did she actually giver her blessing to that monstrosity?
"An appropriate location for permanent installation of 'Monument to Pro-Life' by Mother’s Day is being sought by the gallery."
How about her back yard or living room? It would make a great conversation piece when her kid's a little older and has his friends over to play, especially when the tykes see how, "(n)atural aspects of Spears’ pregnancy, like lactiferous breasts and protruding naval, compliment a posterior view that depicts widened hips for birthing and reveals the crowning of baby Sean’s head." You go, girl.
First of all, the words natural and Britney's breast should never, ever be used in the same sentence.
I believe I read that Britney's publicist was contacted but gave a no comment.
Apparently the artist sculpted her face based on pictures and video.
agreed that the statue is ludicrous (as befits a ludicrous person), but from what i'm told, that's actually a pretty dang comfortable position for giving birth. in fact, one of the two births i have witnessed occurred with the mother in that position. i was holding the videocam and the baby damn near shot into it.
