Georgia Democrats Go Boom, Part 2

A few weeks ago, I opined that the Georgia Democratic Party was in dire straits. Well, it may actually be even worse.

When I saw Andre's post at Georgia Politics Unfiltered, I will admit that I really didn't understand the consequences. I mean everybody knows that the chances of the Democrats winning back the state house are somewhere between slim and none.
But I didn't pay attention to the math.

As decaturguy points out, it appears that the Democrats didn't even really try.

Bobby Kahn? Do you have your fiddle? Rome is burning.

I go back and forth on this one. On the one hand, I like the idea of contesting every district, if only for being in a position to pick up a lightning strike (dead girl / live boy) sort of win.

On the other hand, the Party doesn't have money to burn right now, so money spent just on waving the flag is somewhat wasted.

Campbell, I see your point. My impression comes from the point of view of an outsider and not a political animal. The surface impression most would see is that the Ds don't care. And if you cry we got no money is that really gonna fly with the average Georgian? What a mess.

Not really. Your average person doesn't even know they have a State Representative or State Senator, let alone their name or party.
