An interesting opening weekend.

After two years of finishing 5th, the Spurs have claimed this is the year they break into the top 4. We'll see. Losing to Sunderland in injury time isn't a very promising start.

I'm pretty excited. Santa Cruz is the real deal and unless we have a horrible rash of injuries like last year, I think we can get back in the top six.

I wouldn't put too much in the loss to Sunderland. They are starting to look like a team of destiny. Ol' crazy Roy Keane has them really rolling.

They may be charmed for now, but how long do you think Roy can go before he gets into an altercation with a player, or ownership, or the fans, or, well anyone really.

The craziness has already begun.

That seemed fairly tame by his standards. At least he didn't name names of players on his team. That's when things will truly get interesting.

However, it doesn't bode well that Andy Cole, the "character" player he is looking to bring on board, is only a year younger than he is!

While the loss in injury time may have been written off as a fluke, the 3-1 pasting Spurs are currently taking from Everton (at home! at the half!) is a serious statement.

In non-EPL news, Freddy Adu got in the game at the 37th minute for Benfica's Champion's League qualifier. It's still underway, so I don't know how he's doing yet.
