The New John Barrow Thingie

In NASCAR August is considered the silly season. Drivers change teams. Teams merge. And occasionally true bad craziness like what happened yesterday in Montreal occurs.

It seems politics is not immune to late summer bull fruit looniness.

A new John Barrow "attack blog" was just launched.

Note the rather bizarre "Friends" blog roll. A strange mix indeed.

Now, I'm receiving emails from people trying to suss out who started this thing. Well, I don't know the answer to that one but it sure is fun to speculate. Maybe I should take book.

A lot of mixed feelings about yesterday because I think Robby Gordon's a pure stud race car driver. And it sure enough looks like he got punted under the yellow. But once you get that black flag, you've gotta get off the track...and if you interfere with a finish after you've been black-flagged, you need to be parked for a while.

Not that NASCAR should've even considered restarting the dadgum race while he was still out there to begin with, of course...

And Carpentier doing doughnuts to "celebrate being the highest-finishing Canadian" was bush-league as all heck, too.

Robby absolutely got jobbed. You can clearly see a yellow flag waving whem he got turned around. Having said that, you do not ignore the black flag.

Three burnouts at the end. Most bizarre thing I've ever seen.
